Inflatable Island: Olongapo's Floating Playground

Unicorns have taken over our world!

If you have a daughter, you surely can relate to this. From dresses, accessories, and bags - these cuties are everywhere. When my daughter saw Inflatable Island's video, she didn't stop asking about it until I said "Okay, we will go there!". I'm glad I said "Yes!" because I had so much fun in their Floating Playground!

How to get tickets?

You can either purchase Inflatable Island tickets online or purchase it as you walk-in. Take note, you'll save Php50 per pass when you purchase online. Usually, I book online to save time and money but since I haven't decided which pass to choose, I thought to just buy the tickets at the water park. I'm glad I didn't purchase online! Why? Because the queue for online registration is very long compared to walk-in. We arrived there on a weekend before a holiday so yes, I expected the crowd. The counters open at 7:30am so I suggest to be there as early as 6:30am to avoid the long queue.

For the play passes, you can choose from 1 hour, 2 hours, half day, or whole day. Here are some tips: A one or two hour play pass is more than enough because it literally is exhausting to finish the obstacle courses. Plus, even if you don't pay the whole day pass, you have access to the beach, Pink Bali Lounge, and Floating Zoo from 7:30am to 6:00pm. Choose between 8:00am-10:00am or 3:00pm-5:00pm because first, when the sun is up, it's extremely hot between 10 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. Second, I suggest to just sit by the shore and watch the sunset after 5:00pm.

Where to stay?

There are many hotels to choose from in Olongapo that are very accessible from Inflatable Island. You have two options. You can book a hotel on your own or avail a package from Inflatable Island. I suggest to consider Samba Bluewater Resort because Inflatable Island is actually located at this beach resort. They have reasonable prices and their accommodations are beach front. What to bring?

As usual, make sure you have your rash guard, sunscreen, shades, aqua shoes, and waterproof bag for your phone and cash. Cash? Yes. I suggest to keep your belongings wherever you go because Bali Lounge is open to all. There are resort security/staff walking around but that doesn't guarantee your important belongings' safety. Leave the rest of your stuff in your hotel or car. Inflatable Island also offers lockers but bring your own lock since their slots are limited.

Scorching hot!

Where to eat?

Inflatable Island has some restaurants/stores where you can buy food and drinks so it's not gonna be a problem. When it's peak season, it's gonna be hard to find available tables and chairs. What you can do is to make sure you don't leave your Bali Lounge spot unattended so no one else will take it. You can either leave some of your stuff like towels or just have someone stay behind while you get some food.

They have small tables at Bali Lounge where you can eat.

When and where to take profile pictures?

You have the advantage if you avail the overnight package at Samba Beach Resort. For day tour, make sure to take pictures early morning when there are not so many guests yet or late afternoon because most of the guests have left by this time. Then you can jump from one giant floatie to another at the Floating Zoo. Don't forget to pose while you rest at the Bali Lounge! Of course, you can't leave Inflatable Island without a photo with Baba The Unicorn.
